The objective of this thesis is to develop an advanced monitoring and alarm system to ensure the stability of boat mooring. Using signals from various sensors (e.g., anemometer, proximity sensors, IMU), you will need to develop an algorithm capable of detecting boat fluctuations and triggering an alarm if it exceeds a critical threshold, alerting the responsible personnel to check the mooring’s safety. Planned activities include system modeling and simulation, signal processing, software development, and testing.

Course of study and candidate requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or related disciplines. The ideal candidate for this thesis should have a background in automatic control, modeling and simulation of dynamic systems, and signal processing. Good knowledge of Matlab/Simulink and basic programming skills are desirable.
