Implementation and evaluation of the performance Cybersecurity Controls in the embedded system in the Automotive domain

This thesis focuses on the evaluation of the security automotive embedded system to a cyber-attack.

In this work we are expecting
to evaluate the performance of the cybersecurity controls by implementing in the Connected Autonomous Vehicle (i.e. ECUs, communication) and evaluating it by creating test cases that will be used to perform pen test on the system.

This research work would be able to provide the effectiveness of the considered cyber controls on the embedded system.

Course of study and candidate requirements:

  • A highly motivated student with a good background in cybersecurity topics.
  • Good knowledge of basic programming (Python, C++, C, Bash), embedded system, scripting skills are required.
  • Good spoken English skills are appreciable.

Location: The internship can be carried out from Naples office.
